I dont think there are many good bands playing this year, others might think different though. I would only want to see TheAudition, Paramore (who are playing on Saturday) and Envy on the Coast (Sunday) but its like 35 or something for one day and Im seeing The Audition next month anyway and Ive seen Paramore before a few times. It sucks that nobody else I like is playing on Sunday though cause I would soooo love to see Envy. I might go on Saturday though, got to save my pennies lol

I'm in love with this years line up.
Billy Talent, You Me At Six (if your seeing TA in March, get ready to fall in love with these guys since they are the support)
Cobra Starship, The Blackout, 30STM, The Color Fred.
I'm well exited!

Has anyone ever been to GIAN and could explain me a bit about the organisation of the thing?

Well...
Its hhuuugggeeeeee!
And the stage is split into 2 (main stage and side stage)
So while one band are playing, the next are being set up. So all they have to do is a quick sound check between bands and there isn't too much of a waiting time.
So the best place to be is in the middle of the two stage and you can see both. Although this means your directly infrount of the speaker stack. (Deaf much?)
But if your not the sort who wants to be in the crush all day. There are big screans to watch whats going on.
Round the back are loads of places to buy food and drink. You can get free water from any of the bars and they hand it out over the barrier.
There is a signing tent.
And the merch is on a big table at the back.
Its all standing. Unless you are disabled.
Its one of the best weekend of the year.
Stay away from drunk guy trying to drink beer in the pit. Chances are you'll end up stinking of fosters all day.

Well thats how it was the last 2 years.
And I doubt they will change it. It seems to work well.

See, I haven't decided. I just hate Earls Court though, it is such a crap venue. I went to the Earls Court in 06 and hated it, although most of my crew will be in London so hangs!

The way Earls court is for GIAN is very different to the way it normaly is for gigs there. For a venue the size it is. I think its alright.
Yeah.
And Lily.
If ya get there early its not hard to have a good place. Coz the barrier is huuuuuuuge.
And yeah. Big screans so no matter where you are you can kind of see.

I just find the sound and the way it is laid out pretty shitty. I would rather they did it at Wembley or the O2 or something.

What do you mean by early?
Actually my friend and i though we'd come when the doors open since there's no way we'll be able to stand front all day long...Are people staying at the front when it's not their fav band playing? Like will it be possible to get closer for MAH or/and TA?
How is it working at the signing tent?

It is pretty big but pretty easy to navigate. I hate Earls Court though, grrr!

Haha that's exactely what i said to my friend as the audition were on stage and i saw dustin (from my american heart) singing the songs..."Audrey! I think it's the most beautiful day of my life!!" I love you

I LOVED it!

Only negative thing: i didn't get to see Mah at the signing table cause The Audition were playing right before...Sad
